This application can be a slow and timely process. It usually minimum of 3 coats of plaster is required. Depending on the depth of the masonry really determines when it is safe to apply the next coat. Although Lime plaster is slower to cure then cement based plaster, there is substantial benefits to choosing Lime over cement. Lime is sufficiently durable and resistant to the elements and is used for exterior plastering. It is also permeable and allows for the diffusion and evaporation of moisture. Our very skilled and experienced team apply lime render using traditional methods.
We also specialise in insulated renders to the internal side of external walls. This new technology has proven successful in retaining heat in old buildings and has become a necessity when specifying internal conservation works in historic buildings in recent years.
